Transforming education to meet 21st century challenges & opportunities
Join Foreign Policy in partnership with Arizona State University for a thought-provoking conversation about reimagining education to harness today’s resources and meet tomorrow’s challenges.
On the occasion of the launch of ASU’s Julie Ann Wrigley Global Futures Laboratory, we will convene a high caliber panel of visionaries and thought leaders who are working to empower the next generation of global leaders. As the world continues to grapple with the fallout of COVID-19, the pandemic has served as an urgent warning that we are approaching tipping points across our societies, economies and ecosystem: With only 10 years to reach the Sustainable Development Goals, the UN has called for a decade of action, and the progress that must be achieved will be defining for humanity’s long term future.
Education is key to empowering those who will shape that future, but to achieve that change, education itself must be transformed and broadened to support discovery and lifelong learning and enable transdisciplinary approaches in partnership with industry, policymakers and communities. Our conversation will look at the Julie Ann Wrigley GFL’s innovative model for digitally enabled, inclusive and integrated education that incorporates sustainability and inclusivity as the underlying principles for effective global leadership. Tune in for a fascinating look at the future of higher education as a catalyzing force for meaningful societal impact.
