
Graduate and Professional International Course: Perennial Crops for Sustainable Agriculture (Taught in Spanish)

This international course on perennial grain crops for sustainable agriculture was developed as part of the UW-Madison CALS Global Krishna Ella Global Innovation Award: Perennial International Center for Agricultural Sustainability in South America (PICASSA). Valentin Picasso, Associate Professor in the Department of Plants and Agroecosystem Sciences is leading this center with the objective to develop a “5-i” center for perennial agricultural sustainability in South America, which will a) train students through an intensive course, b) coordinate interdisciplinary research and write grant proposals on perennial grains, c) communicate to society the relevance of perennial crops for agricultural sustainability.
